Week 8 (11th November 2014)

The week of the fishes!!
This week was spent researching into envoments for my seris backgrounds.

As im a poor student i couldnt afford to go to a fancy aquarium like blue plant or sea life as it would come to about £40 including getting there. So i did the poor student alternative and when to The world museum in Liverpool which only cost me £7.40 in trainfare and i got to wonder around liverpool for 8 hours with my girlfriend exploring all the other free museums. All in all it was a fantastic day, did you know you can get on the roof of the library? Amazing.

But anyway back to the fishes.

I've become quite fond of fish since starting this seris so as you can imagen i was like a small child in a sweet shop.

To the left of this text you will see a beautiful picture of me an the first fish i saw, it is also the start of a slideshow of the images taken whilst at the museum.

I was starting to worry about how i was going to go about getting images of coral reefs to use as my background images as i've currently had to luck with any flickers photographers.

Now i have some basic images that i can use worst case, and worst worst case i also now have images i can use for referencing if i have to produce drawing backgrounds.

All in all it was a very productive trip.

Merchandising continued

Logo/Branding

Last weeks merchandies was a bit of a no brainer. No logo needed, plush toys. BUTT there's only so much you can get away with without having a logo.

So to the right you can see the logo for Eco Jelly,
its not the best logo i've ever produced but this isnt a graphic design degree so hopfully i should be fine. haha

I'll add my sketches and other logo development bits at a later date.

All in all though i feel as if the logo fits my target market quite nicely, i have sent an email to the owner of the font used for permission to use the font but worst case its not a difficult thing to alter.
