Final Thoughts & Film
Overall the process of producing my final film has been challenging but nevertheless rewarding. I am happy with the scratchy style of animation, but if I had the time to develop the series fully I would love to be able to spend more time on transition shots like the book opening at the beginning of the film. Shots like this are very effective in emphasising the emotional and personal elements of the narrative, bringing out a story book quality that I really enjoy. Films about the LGBTQ+ community that focus on telling a compelling emotional story will go a long way to changing people’s minds about things they don’t understand. I would love in the future to develop a series that tells the story of people with a range of different identities that are on the fringe of social acceptance, with the hope that we can all grow to understand each other a little better.
Due to my film being entered in festivals I will be adding it at a later date.
