Ripping himself in half

I honestly could not find any past footage to help me achieve this shot! So this one is 100% Ruben, I apologies in advance for how gruesome this shot may end up.

So i started off by recording myself acting out the motion of ripping off my face. I've never looked so attractive i know.

This was really useful in regards to timing because i could actually act it out how i wanted it.

This is take 3 of 5.

I then really loosely rotascoped it to see how it would looked and i loved it! It looks and feel so natural as bazar as that may sound.

now for stage 2. The skin itself being ripped off.

This i was a really interesting thing to animate and i'm going to do some more research into this when i can but for now this is how i imagine skin would be torn and stretch out.

I think.

I like it, but i may have to go buy a big bottle of pva and record it being ripped off skin when dried.
